Next Generation Science Standards are used in Washington, D.C. and are focused on real-world applications. This aquarium will allow students to see a live ecosystem in the classroom up-front and in-person. This opportunity is a great responsibility and will allow me to not only teach students about science but about life skills. Life skills include classroom jobs, career explorations, aquarium maintenance, and more. These materials will be immediately utilized as we are going full force into a hands-on classroom. I appreciate everyone's support as we try and install this saltwater aquarium in the classroom. Wonder what our fish names will be? NEMO!
