We no longer have a large book filled with different stories that all students are required to read a page at a time out loud. Schools now run readers workshop where kids pick books at their own level where they can feel successful. Being a new teacher I don't have a large library with varied levels. I borrow from our school library and even visit our public library to get books into my students hands. I am looking for a leveled library so that all my students have a book that they can read.
