I am one of the fortunate people who absolutely LOVES my job. I refer to the students as "my" kids. I know their stories and want to help them succeed in any way that I can. Many of our students learn in different ways. Libraries aren't just for reading anymore. Having a Maker Space in the library will give all of our students the chance to learn and explore in various ways. Whether it is a math or science project, or just a break for a student who needs a different setting, it will be the place everyone wants to be in our school. Every student has the opportunity to visit the library to learn and explore. By adding a LEGO wall to our library, the students can use it for creativity, math, spelling, and STEM projects. STEM has become an important part of education and our Maker Space will help our students in those areas. I have already relocated and rearranged our bookshelves to make room for the LEGO set requested for our wall. All of the construction will be done by staff and families. Our LEGO wall will be a place where EVERY Student from 3-10 will have a wonderful opportunity to express themselves and share their accomplishments with others.
