My students need these tablets in order to access to the multitude of digital resources available on line. One of the the realities of teaching in an underprivileged neighborhood like the South Bronx is that supplies are extremely limited. Unfortunately the few computers our school current has are woefully out of date and often not functional. It is imperative for my students to gain exposure to these types of technology in order to maintain pace in the digital age. Therefore, each student will be able to access an individualized literacy and math program designed to target and improve specific skills, as well as providing an invaluable reference tool for the multitude of projects we explore throughout the year.
