Most of our students play traditional band instruments such as the flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, etc. About half of the students provide their own instruments and the other half borrow from our school inventory. One of our goals for the Advanced Band is to transition some students from primary instruments to specialty instruments like the oboe, french horn, baritone, and tuba. The Sonoma County fires have affected each and every one of us. Families have to really prioritize how they spend their money, and understandably purchasing a new instrument is not always the highest priority. Speciality instruments, like the euphonium, are out of the price range for our families. Without a euphonium player in the Advanced Band, our instrumentation is incomplete. Please consider donating to help the SRACS music program obtain a euphonium. We really appreciate your consideration.
