I work with amazing young adults who have developmental disabilities. They work hard to become as independent as possible at home and in the community. My students access the high school curriculum through the North Carolina Extended Content Standards so they can focus on developing the functional life skills that will help them become as independent as possible. There are a variety of tasks and activities in my class that are individualized to meet each students unique needs. My students love coming to school and are ready to learn.
