We need more flexible seating to ensure that ALL students can be successful. It is so hard for me to see a student with so much potential struggling to concentrate because their body needs to move. Each classroom will receive one bean bag chair. This chair will be used for students needing a safe area to calm down. The wobble seats will be spread throughout all grade levels, K-6, to students needing them. An array of chairs allowing movement have been ordered in order to find the right match for the right student. In addition, desks to allow students to stand have been chosen. sometimes, students are asked to sit too long. This will give students the opportunity to move. Research shows that students need to move every 10 minutes.
