Scholastic News and Science Spin magazines will help my students get their hands on a variety of informative texts. These magazines draw upon student's interests and are highly engaging. Every issue includes correlations to the Common Core standards as well as several key early reading skills such as critical thinking and print concepts. With the digital option, students will be able to access the magazines virtually as well as having a variety of digital resources to reach students even through distance learning. They will not only have access to the texts, but also have learning videos, games, and activities. By donating to our project, you will be putting texts in the hands of children that may not have access to many books at home, helping them to flourish as young readers. Students will be able to read texts on their level that draw upon several areas of interest. Not only do these texts draw upon a variety of interests, but they also are cross-curricular and help in teaching an array of subjects while learning to become better readers.
