I want to give my students an opportunity each day to create and solve real world problem through the use of STEM materials. With my students being from high poverty, they unfortunately do not have opportunities to have hands on experiences. With your donations, these materials will allow my students to have hands on experiences to build, create, and explore! Doctor Seuss said, "Think left and think right and think low and think high, oh the thinks you can think up if only you try!" My students will be using legos to create bridges that can hold a car. They will use the STEM kit to explore the science of “how things go” as they conduct investigations, solve problems, and explore early engineering. The Magna tiles will be used to explore architectural design through creating buildings that can withstand certain elements. Students will use the Woodbuilder pieces for their own inventions. It is research proven that children today are struggling to think critically and creatively. I want to give mine the opportunity to think this way everyday so that they will become adults with that mindset. Thank you for considering in investing in these low-income students' future!
