My project aims to break down the barriers to learning that many of our students are facing. Many of our families are struggling financially and can barely make rent or are sharing housing. Some of our students basic needs are not met because our families are struggling to keep a roof over their heads. Our students all have the potential to succeed but are often cold, wet, in need of clothing or hygiene supplies. It is very hard to focus when you are cold, hungry or being made fun of by other students because you do not have supplies to shower or keep up with daily hygiene routines. With these needed supplies our students will be able to reach their full academic potential.

About my class
