The books will help my students become better readers and writers. These books are relatable and my students will enjoy reading them and become more curious about the world we live in. These books are from people who have overcome struggles in their lives- from different backgrounds and different eras in history. They will teach my students that challenges are part of life and that it is important to be perseverant. Also, my students will learn that being hard-working and following one’s life dreams and passions is important. My students will directly benefit from reading these books firsthand and sharing their thoughts and connections in their reading groups.
