My students want to be able to see their creations they designed come to life. Many students design improvements to everyday objects but can't test them out with out a proper prototype. Students also want to build new parts for things like vex kits. I want them to be able to keep thinking outside the box and not force them to be limited to what they have. Having a quality 3D printer will allow my students to see those ideas be put to the test. This will also allow students to continue to grow their creativity as they see how their thoughts can be real!
