By providing my student athletes with new volleyballs, they will be able to strengthen not only their physical game, but also their mental game. This addition of new equipment would bring a new sense of pride to the team. Old equipment has a tendency to "wear" on players at times. We are one of the smallest districts in the state of Arizona and when my players see inner city schools with all new equipment, it sets a preconceived tone that we are somehow the underdogs. I would like to provide an equal opportunity for my players in that they feel comfortable with our school equipment and have the confidence to face their opponents without feeling inferior.
