I am asking for standing desks for my students. Standing desks will provide my students with an alternative desk to learn in class. There are some students in class that have a hard time learning when they are sitting all the time. By providing them with an alternative desk option we will allow them to learn in the manner that helps them the most. Other teachers in my district have standing desks and they have found that they have helped with disruptions to the learning environment in their classroom. My hope with providing an alternative option for a desk is that my students will be more attentive, disrupt less, and enjoy learning.
