The laptop will benefit my students in many ways. It will be shared and used at students' tables when working on research, presentations, and other collaborative efforts--as well as projects outside the classroom. It will play an important part of improving students' knowledge and technology skills. It also will help students prepare for state standardized tests which are all done online. Daily use of the laptop will definitely increase familiarity and knowledge of how to use and navigate the different programs. Not only will this laptop have an immediate impact on student learning, but it will help prepare them to succeed in middle school and high school so they will have the opportunity to attend college. In order to be prepared and compete with their peers, the use of technology is crucial to their learning. Most of our students don't have computers at home, so I want to provide them with whatever opportunities I can to support them at school and in their future learning.
