The three Miller School kindergarten teachers want to mail books to their students who have made the biggest reading gains and are at the most risk of losing their reading skills over the summer. We have chosen titles that the children in each classroom especially loved. Three times over the summer, we will mail home a book with a personal note and a self-addressed, stamped postcard so our children can write back to us. We can give our kids love every day, and we can spark their love of books, but we need your help to supply the books themselves. These books are incredibly important! With them, our neediest children can enjoy books all summer long, feel connected to our school, and know that we are their biggest fans.
