Students with little to no background knowledge of fine art have a very difficult time with the self-discipline and regulatory skills necessary to develop skills that express their emotions and ideas. No matter their age- Kindergarten through Eighth grade students have big ideas and they deserve big results. Students need the opportunity to create, explore and celebrate their world. Art helps them relate to each other, their families, neighborhood and the global community. Building art skills builds fine and gross motor control, emotional identification and regulation, strengthens hand eye coordination, problem solving, creativity and empathy.
