These materials will give my students a hands-on, engaging approach to reading. With common core standards so focused on comprehension and great reading skills, it is important that my students are exposed to as many different types of comprehension strategies as possible. Many of my students are still struggling with basic phonics skills. These materials will not only help with their comprehension skills, but their phonics skills as well. I believe that using games and interactive resources give studnets a better opportunity to succeed, in the work, in front of them. Many students today are asked to sit still and use worksheets to complete work. My personal philosophy to have my students as engaged as possible and these materials will help me fulfill my philosophy!
