My Fifth Graders are going to have an amazing time making these UnbeWeavable Cups! Last year, my Fifth Grade students told me over and over that it was their favorite project all year! They loved the hands on aspect of learning how to weave and make something functional. Many of them used their cups to hold their pencils and other materials on their desk! My students will learn a variety of techniques that correlate directly into their Visual Arts Standards of Learning. Students will combine various craft techniques in works of art. They will also learn how to create balance, patterns and repetition while making their cups.
