I have been working with middle school students for quite some time. They come to me with all kinds of stress, anxiety and social issues. I have found that many times they just need a break from thinking too much about the issue. Whether the anxiety stems from home or at school, the students really benefit from school counseling curriculum. My students have always made major gains in academics and social/emotional health when they have had an opportunity to learn new skills through school counseling individual and/or group lessons.
