One of the connections they will be looking for is to see how the attacks on 9/11 are connected to empires. they will also be required write an essay arguing if the United States empire is collapsing. Other aspects they will writing about are the importance of roads in Asia and Europe during the middle ages. They will also examine the importance of canals in Egypt and China
