I work in a school that is striving to get our students ready for their future. It is essential for students to be future ready in the area of utilizing technology to engage in work. With that said, unfortunately, my students do not have the access to the technology they always need in order to do this. We are currently using Google G Suite and utilize Google Docs, Slides, Forms, and more to foster creativity and collaboration in the classroom. We also utilize Google Classroom to minimize paperwork and help students organize their work. However, my students do not always have the access they need to experience the highest level of success. In addition, by adding Chromebooks to my classroom, students would be able to check these devices out on a nightly basis to engage in their learning outside of my classroom. Many of my students do not have access to a device at home to complete homework and by having more access, students could extend their learning beyond the walls and hours of school.
