I teach in high poverty area. Our school is located in an urban neighborhood in Dallas, 99% of our students are eligible for free and reduced lunches. Some of my students are living in multi-generational homes in which more than one generation is living in the home together due to poverty. For many of my students school is safe , fun, and nurturing environment. My goal as a teacher is to help my students be resilient and the best they can be no matter what problems they encountered, while also preparing them for a successful future.
