Code.org is a free computer science curriculum that is fully funded by generous support from big tech companies and is sweeping the nation with free training for teachers. The culminating project of the CS Discoveries class ends with programming this incredible little circuit board. As a teacher, I have just completed the Code.org teacher training and facilitator training with a goal of bringing computer science to all schools in my state, starting with my school. These Adafruit Circuit Playground kits are reusable year after year and put the power of creativity and technology into our students' hands. Computer science is an industry with thousands of open high paying jobs and not enough skilled programmers, engineers, and data scientists to fill them. I was to be a part of solving that problem starting with the students in my classroom.
