This year my Pre-K through 6th Grade students had the opportunity to walk into a newly renovated (at my cost) art classroom where they are excited each day to see what culture, art style, artist, and techniques we will be exploring that week. Many of our students don't get the opportunities to travel far outside of our small, rural town of approx. 4,000 people in the low- socio economic delta area of Arkansas. Art class gives them the opportunity to enter a world of learning that takes them out of their small town existence to discover the world while learning cool art techniques and styles that they can have fun exploring with their classmates. However, due to our economic area, art is not funded and that's why we need your help. Without funding the supplies needed to truly explore and create can not be purchased for our art classroom and our students cannot further their art education.
