We want to keep our kids and staff safe at all times. We also want to keep them in school. Providing supplies for an emergency response kit and two recess kits this can be accomplished. I, the school nurse, will be able to respond appropriately to any call I get at a moments notice. Instead of gathering supplies that might be needed then running to emergency, my kit will be ready to go. I would also like to provide our teachers with two recess kits consisting of first aid supplies. This will help the teachers to be prepared for minor injuries on the playground. It will also help teachers to provide first aid in a major injury until the nurse can arrive. I need two because we have 2 separate playgrounds for different age groups. The recess kits will include basic first aid material like gauze, band aids, CPR face masks, gloves, tissue. The emergency kits will include same as above plus BP cuffs, a pulse oximeter, medical scissors, and other supplies needs to assist the nurse in any medical emergency. This project will effect every student and staff member in the school.
