My students strive on a daily basis to become more tech savvy in a technology fueled world. My 8th graders are from extremely low socio-economic surroundings, and are unable to replace their technological device when it becomes impaired. Every student in my class is on the free breakfast and lunch program, and they are thrilled, as well as excited when it comes to learning at school. They feel loved, safe, and cared for. Shouldn't it be our job to supply them with ALL of the tools they need without having any stipulations in order to access their creative minds? All 65 of my 8th graders will move on to bigger things, as long as the opportunity is made available for them.
