The donations for this project will be used to create an outdoor garden for all students. The garden will provide hands-on learning experiences linked with the science and health and fitness curriculums. Students will use the greenhouse to start vegetables and flowers for our school garden. The greenhouse will allow students to grow and maintain a garden while applying what they are learning in science. Students will record data and make observations meeting the new NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). Area gardeners will be invited to teach lessons and share their knowledge of gardening with students. We already have raised garden beds and the students are anticipating the start of our greenhouse project.
