Research shows that giving students CHOICE and empowering them to pick books that matter to them create life long, engaged learners who LOVE reading. I became an English teacher to foster a LOVE of reading and these choices represent a vast array of stories that any student can enjoy and love. It is so important that students see themselves represented in the books we have available!
