I have a class of 29 amazing students who learn in many different ways and have many different needs. Some like to sit, some need to stand, some fidget, some need reminders to stay focused, learning comes easy for some, and is a bit more difficult for others. They are your typical 5th grade kiddos, each with a unique personality, which is what I love about them. I like to do all I can to help each and every one of them. The classroom environment is as equally important as the instruction I give them. Having a varied seating (and sometimes standing) arrangement can make a huge difference in how they learn. I've incorporated various types of seating, but my desks are average classroom desks. I would love to incorporate a couple of standing desks with swinging footrests for those who may need to occasionally be up and sometimes moving. My goal is to provide the best learning environment I can for each of them.
