I have many students in my class that struggle with sitting in a chair due to their need to move around while working. The wobble chairs will help my students stay in a spot, but they will have flexibility to move while reading and working. The cushions help the students to be able to wobble and move while sitting in one spot. This gives students flexibility to move around. At this young age students struggle with sitting in desks and chairs, and this gives them an opportunity to work and learn in a comfortable environment. It also gives them choices. The lap desks help the students have space to put their papers and materials on while sitting in a comfortable spot around the room. Giving students control of where they want to sit gives them an opportunity to take ownership in the classroom. Flexibility gives them a variety of high, medium, and low seating choices. Research confirms that flexible seating is good for the students. It creates a room that shows it is student-oriented and not teacher-oriented. With so many options, the students find what works best for them.
