My third grade students love to get out of their seats and work throughout the classroom. However, they are working on an uncomfortable floor. Flexible seating is the perfect concept to bring to the classroom. This would allow them to work somewhere other than their desk. It would also be much more comfortable than the floor. I can already tell that my students work more efficiently when they are sitting on the carpet or at a table other than their seat. So, I know these seating options will open up many possibilities for learning for all of my students in my classroom. It will also provide the responsibility of choosing a seating option where they work, and it will allow me to hold them accountable in their selected work space.
