By donating to my project you will be helping me achieve my goal of creating a rich learning environment that fosters abstract thinking and cognitive development. The Dramatic Play Market Stand will encourage my students to build real world math and literacy skills by requiring them to read the labels of the food, determine the price of the food, figure out if they have have enough money to purchase an item and figure out the amount of change they should receive. Just like they would have to do if they went grocery shopping! Dramatic play is a crucial part of child development. It supports the development of social-emotional and cognitive skills by allowing children to act out real life scenarios. It's also a bonus that children have a blast in the process!
