My students are 11th graders who have faced hardships that many of us as adults have never experienced. The students try their very best with the resources that they have and that I am able to give them. Few see college in their future because they need to help support their family. I hope to change that belief and help them realize their true potential. My classroom is a safe and inviting place where they will not only learn U.S. History, but hopefully they will gain the confidence needed for a better future!

About my class
