Except for one girl all my students are high energy boys! Even with constant movement breaks, getting them to sit still for any length of time is a major struggle. Children this age are not supposed to sit still! Watching my students try to move, tip, and rock their chairs makes me concerned for their safety. The last thing I want to do is punish my students for doing something their bodies are designed to do, but their safety is my top priority. I have tried simple yoga balls and found them too dangerous. When students leaned too far their whole body would roll over the ball and they'd fall. After extensive research, I find that wobble chairs seem to be the best and safest solution to wiggly students!
