In my school we promote student learning by allowing them to do their own research and investigations through technology. At the moment my class of 22 students has four laptops to share amongst themselves. Having the iPads will allow for easier access to the internet and conducting research. We are a bilingual class and often have to use the internet to find Spanish resources and do research. Students will alsobe able to use various reading and math apps to practice their skills. Many of my students are English language learners and will benefit from the various apps available to improve their English skills. Having iPads would make it easier for students to work on their research. Additionally, they will be able to use iMovie, the camera, and other applications to create fantastic projects to share with others on iCloud. The iPads would be beneficial for my students because it will: 1) give them more hours of technology access, 2) allow them to use research-based software programs to improve their reading and math skills, and 3) give them access to the Internet to research projects. I truly would like to provide my my students an early start with technology, in order for them to be prepared for their future educational endeavors.
