We are a small elementary school and meeting our children's needs are sometimes beyond what our school can provide. Our budget is low and we have many students who have sensory limitations and having the weighted vests can potentially help them manage their bodies better and feel more comfortable and in control. I have seen first hand the benefits of having weighted vests available in schools and how much a student with needs can benefit from having one. Simply having that extra weight to give them the control they need can make all the difference in how they perform academically as well as how they interact with their peers. Control of our bodies, minds, and emotions is what we as adults want for ourselves... so why not help give children some of that control as well?
