My students come from diverse learning backgrounds and it is essential for them to have hands on learning experiences. The majority of my students do not have access to technology to further their education at home. Having a set of iPads will allow for different avenues of learning in my classroom. One way they will be used is as a STEM center. This will allow them to explore creatively and learn at a higher level. The IPads will enable them to do virtual science experiments and research about animals for individual projects we do in the spring. In math, it will allow lower students to engage in the targeted practice they need to develop their skills as well as enable more experienced students to participate in activities at a higher level. It is important to encourage a love of reading at this early stage. Having access to digital books will enable students to read books that are not only on their level but fits their interest. We currently have very limited technology in our classroom which hinders our students different learning opportunities. These resources will allow us to differentiate with our struggling students as well as propel our higher students to reach their highest potential
