Each week the students are engaged in using the rock wall. As it stands right now, the wall poses little challenge to the students. The obstacle course will provide critical thinking to those students that are not challenged on a daily basis using the wall. It will increase muscle use and upper body strength when students are navigating the wall. The fitness additions to the wall will directly target muscle groups that the students are learning about in class each week. These materials will engage students in physical activity and help encourage exercise. Child obesity rate has been on the rise and students need to have resources to help decrease obesity. Giving them options will help target interest in resources that they are not aware of.
