I teach preschool special education and have a class of 20 students ranging in age from 3-5 years. Our school is located in a small rural community in West Virginia. My students range in abilities but, art is one area where all feel pride in the masterpieces they create daily. Students will use these materials to express themselves through their art. Unfortunately, with the current situation, funds from the school system to supply the classroom art and craft area have been cut. Supplies are running low and families in the school community are struggling. My students love to create with a variety of materials but we are quickly running out of supplies in our art and craft area. This project will allow me to replenish aprons, paint, dough sets, and scissors in the art area and allow the preschoolers to continue to express themselves through their various art and craft projects.
