In order to differentiate learning in my classroom, I incorporate technology into center times. All of my students are learning at different levels, and adding chromebooks will not only help open doors to teaching my students at different levels, but also introduce my young students to technology, which they may not have access to at home. We use iPads at times, but I feel that Chromebooks would help open up more opportunities in my classroom. There are many things I would love to do on technology as a teacher, but access to computers or devices at our school is very limited, especially for special education classrooms. We are requesting five Chromebooks. With these new Chromebooks, I would be able to get more students connected to technology each day. The Chromebooks would allow for enough technology for station work in my classroom during reading, writing, and math. My students would also be able to use to Chromebooks to support publishing their work. Being familiar with technology is such a vital skill for students growing up in this digital world. As a teacher, I want to prepare my students to succeed and feel comfortable navigating technology as I prepare them for the world outside of my classroom. By providing students with these Chromebooks, they will be given this opportunity!
