Art is a subject that many might consider unnecessary or elective, however in a world driven by creativity, innovation and problem solving, Art provides all the skills needed to excel! Students are encouraged to think outside the box and be creative! In addition, simply sketching can be very meditative and provides a relaxing outlet for students. One of my favorite things I love seeing in the classroom, is when we are working on a fun project and for just an hour, my older students forget about 'being cool' and just have fun!
