These variety of seating choices will help my students focus and provide them with alternative seating when they need to move. The lap desks will give a space to continue their work rather than having to use the floor. The wobble chairs will give them an alternative to the plastic and wooden chair they have now. These chairs will also allow them to wiggle and move while still focusing on their work. The bean bag chairs will provide alternative places for reading and working on their assignments. These chairs will also, allow a place where discussions can occur. Students who are 'chained' to traditional seating tend to have their minds wonder and do not focus and master their grade level content. By giving the students a choice of seating, they can continue to focus and achieve mastery of their various grade level curriculum. Mastering the grade level curriculum allow them the succeed on the tests and be ready for the next grade level.
