These materials will encourage my students to role play real-life scenarios. The students are very attracted to the few dolls and painting supplies we have in our classroom, using them daily to interact with their peers. Students have displayed aggressive behavior in their play and these dolls would help them work through their feelings, allowing them to think and resolve through action playing. Increasing our number of dolls would give students the opportunity to role play real-life situations daily. Talking about and discussing the behavior in the moment will help students grow, reducing their stress and establishing a sturdy brain foundation for healthy development. Also, the paints would allow them to paint daily during their choice time. The dolls and paints will encourage creative expression/individuality, building a strong social/emotional foundation.
