My students use calculators almost daily in my classroom. Having a classroom set of calculators will help keep cell phones out of my students hands while learning is taking place during lessons. The hands-on geometry materials will allow my students to learn math using manipulatives. Having differentiation in a math class for today's students is crucial for providing opportunities for students to be successful. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on other aspects of math, instead of doing the calculations in their head or on their cell phones. We can get into more of the "WHY" behind the question. Plus in this technology literate world, having calculators will help keep their phones out of their hands and more of their attention can be on learning. You will also help bring more meaning and hands-on learning for my students.
