My students are reading the novel, "A Long Way from Chicago" by Richard Peck, that is 1,200 students reading the same book at the same time! It's a gigantic book club of sorts, and the program set up as a read aloud. All 60 teachers participating will have a copy of the book, however, I would love for every one of my students to have a copy of the book in their hands as I read aloud. If every students had a copy of the book, I feel their enjoyment and comprehension of the novel would improve, thereby enhancing their experience and interaction with the program.
