These materials will make a positive impact on my students academic career. Research has shown that using flexible seating helps students focus on their work. My plan for the seats is to start using them during Daily 5 then transition into using them during whole group. I do have a small class so half of the class will be able to use it then the second half of the class will get a chance the next time. I have heard great things about flexible seating and cannot wait to try it out in my classroom!! My students will benefit greatly because this will help with focusing as well as responsibility. Students will have to learn how to take care of the chairs and use them as learning tools and not toys. They will learn the importance of taking care of something.
