All students must read but not all students like to read. This selection of books is on the top 10 voter lists from eighth-grade students across the nation. Within this selection are not only classics, such as The Outsiders, and To Kill a Mockingbird, but also more recent popular reads like The Hunger Games, This One Summer, The Book Thief, Divergent, and Percy Jackson. These are books that students will enjoy reading during brain breaks, during their free time, and when they finish assignments early. This student-choice library will change students' reading habits and help them become lifelong readers. If presented with the opportunity, students will be encouraged to read for pleasure and fun!
