This is my first year in my current classroom. The classroom has no alternative options for seating from their desk because the previous teacher did not like having students moving around the room. The classroom lacks the details that make the learning environment comfortable and inviting, including rugs, cushions, and lighting options. The rug will provide a comfortable place for class meetings, instruction, and group projects like literary groups. Unfortunately, there is no room in the school budget to buy a rug and I want to give my students a more inviting environment in which to learn. It was the number one thing they thought would make the classroom better.

About my class
