During the school day, half of the day is spent on the carpet. Students enjoy using the carpet as a place to play math games and really explore with different manipulatives, but without a large rug some of my students are left out and not able to use the carpet. This causes students to sometimes be off task and not learn and grow to their full potential. My students would really benefit from having a space to stay focused. My hope is to increase the learning and exploration in my classroom by having the space for students to sit, focus, and enjoy a nice carpet while they're at school.
